The Q Morning Crew goes to a Wedding!

Yesterday was my best friend Jodie's Wedding.  She graciously allowed me to bring BJ & the Q104 Crew to the reception and dance.  Since I was the Maid of Honour, I didn't have a lot of time to spend with the boys, so they were left to their own devices for much of the wedding.  However, we still got some great pictures of the crew with the guests and everyone had a great time!  Especially Bobby Mac!

Enjoying a little bubbly the night before the big day.

The Q Crew Goes to A Bachelorette Party

Last Saturday night my Best Friend had her last Saturday night of fun before she tied the knot.  We started the the night off with a Venus Envy party at the sister of the bride's house.  We then went to on the Q104 party boat.  Unfortunately, due to the nature of a Bachelorette party most pictures are not appropriate for public viewing, but I got a few, so here they are.

I blacked out all of the parts of this picture that were inappropriate.

A nice picture of the whole party.

We all had a great night, especially the bride and of course the Q104 boys!  I'd like to thank my BFFL Jodie and all of her friends for being such a good sport.

 Now for the wedding!

BJ & The Q Morning Crew Go To Bingo...with a twist

On Thursday me and the Q Crew decided to go check out this Bingo everyone's been talking about at the Grawood.  The only thing is, it's not regular Bingo, it's Sex Toy Bingo!  So if you are easily offended please don't watch this video as it contains content of an overt sexual nature.

Here are some pics from the night.

Just waiting for our Bingo cards.

We got our cards!

My losing card.

The lovely hostesses let us come up on stage with the Bingo balls and prizes and took our picture.

The lovely mural at the Grawood.  I love the tiger leaping in the sky over Halifax.

We definitely had a fun night out doing something different and it's always great when people come up to you and ask why you've got a giant cut-out of the Q104 Morning Crew!

Thanks to Amy & Monica for all your help!

Trip to Cape Breton with the Q104 Morning Crew

Hello again!  This weekend me and the boys (aka the Q104 Morning Crew) drove down to Cape Breton for my uncle's 52nd birthday party and some photo ops around the island.

At the birthday bash letting loose with a moose.

Here's the birthday boy with me and the crew.

The boys hanging out together.

My cousin & I also went around on some adventures.  Here's the crew by the Seal Island Bridge in Cape Breton.  Gotta a few honks from truckers passing by.  Not sure if they were showing support or angry that we went under the bridge.

Then we decided to head under the bridge for some really cool views.  And also to check out where I might be living if I don't find a job soon.

Heading down the stairs.

On the landing.

A bit windy under the bridge and every time a big truck goes by the whole thing shakes the poop right out of ya.

The Crew's Eye View

BJ, BJ & Bobby Mac were getting hungry so we stopped by the infamous A&K Lick -a- Chick.  Turns out Bobby's a real thigh man.

We drove over to Sydney to check out the giant fiddle.  The closer we got to it the harder it rained but I was determined to get a picture.  My dear cousin got soaked in the process.

There was a cruise ship there from Norway so some Norwegian tourists got to see us get soaked for the sake of this picture.  As soon as we got back home it stopped raining.

Thanks to Jazzy for holding the cut-out for me all weekend.  She's a real trouper.
Happy 52nd Birthday Uncle Greg!  Love you!

The Q104 Morning Crew Goes to Peggy's Cove

On Sunday, Alexa and I decided to take the boys on a little excursion to Peggy's Cove and enjoy the view of some waves.  It was pretty cloudy, almost gloomy, really, but I can't think of a time when I ever went to Peggy's Cove and it wasn't like that.  There were quite a few people out that day, despite the ominous cloud cover and we got our fair share of attention, that's for sure.

I was surprised by how many people knew about the contest (pretty much everybody that I talked to).  I even had one woman who wanted to have her picture taken with the crew.  I was more than happy to oblige.

Here you can get a pretty good idea of just how many people there were.  I think some of them were taking secret pictures of us.  That's right, we're an "us" now.

Just having a rest on one of the benches, no big deal.

You might be wondering what in the heck that black line is across Bobby Mac's chest.  The wind was quite high that day so I poked some holes in the cut-out and installed a strap that goes around my waist.  But then it acted as a giant sail that could have carried me out to sea had the wind been blowing that way.  I'm going to change the strap to white next time. The colour change won't prevent me from blowing away, but it'll look better in photos. :S

Aaaaaahhhhh sideways lighthouse!  Just turn your laptop sideways until I figure out how to rotate pictures on this blog thing.

Thanks Alexa for taking the pictures for me!  You're a doll.  And thanks everyone for the suggestions, keep them coming.  I need all the ideas I can get.  And a larger car for transporting Beej & the crew.

The Q Morning Crew Goes to Work at the IWK Health Centre

Since the Crew is going to be living with me for the next 7 weeks I thought it wouldn't kill them to do some work for a change (just kidding), so I took them to work with me at the IWK Health Centre.

I work on 6 Link, the Pediatric Oncology/Hematology & Nephrology Inpatient Unit  (that's cancer, blood disorders and kidney disease).  I've worked there for 7 years and the staff are amazing as what they do.

I'm a ward clerk  so to start with I put them on the front desk.  Here is one of the ward clerks (and my friend), Alexa, with the boys.

Next it was time to scrub up and get ready to perform some procedures in the treatment room.

Now it's my turn to play Doctor with the Crew.

The nurses got in on the action too, and gave BJ & BJ a little check-up.

The nurses & staff were great sports about having the Q Crew there and we all had a good laugh about it.  There was even a patient who really wanted to have his picture taken and be part of this blog, but unfortunately it's against confidentiality laws for me to post his photo.

Thank you 6 Link staff and patients!  You are the best, as always.

Rainy Day with the Q104 Morning Crew

It rained quite hard in Halifax today, so it kind of put a damper on any kind of outing we might have had.  So me and the boys curled up on the couch and watch me stories instead.  Boooring I know, but tomorrow night we're going to my other job at the IWK; the one I go to when I'm not busy not teaching.
